Absence Makes The Mind Wander

12 03 2011

Absence Makes the Mind Wander is an abstract exploration of a man’s struggle to make sense of his environment as he battles with the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease. Albert’s mind transports him back to happier times in his life as he fights the disorientation and tries to hold on to the recollections he has before his disease alters them.”

The installation is being created by Tom Sparks and Lizzie Hefferin and produced by Harry Rollin. It will run for one week in May 2011, within a three story house designed as Albert’s dilapidated residence. The audience are encouraged to look among Albert’s belongings and interpret his story as they hear it told around them.
